02/24/2007 - (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The Charlotte Bobcats aim for a franchise-best fifth straight win tonight when they host the Atlantic Division-leading Toronto Raptors in North Carolina.
Charlotte tied a club mark with its fourth straight win when it bested Philadelphia on Friday. Emeka Okafor came off the bench while battling the flu and scored 16 points to go along with 16 rebounds in the 102-87 win over the 76ers.
Matt Carroll, Gerald Wallace and Adam Morrison each scored 19 points for the Bobcats, who closed out last season with four straight victories to set the franchise record. Derek Anderson poured in 11 points in the effort.
Charlotte head coach Bernie Bickerstaff left the bench late in the first quarter after feeling ill. Bickerstaff's son, John-Blair Bickerstaff, assumed head-coaching duties for the remainder of the contest.
The Bobcats are just 13-15 at Charlotte Bobcats Arena this year, but have won four of their last five as the host. Charlotte, which is tied with Atlanta for last in the Southeast Division, will kick off a six-game road trip against the Clippers on Monday.
The club is again expected to be without forward Sean May (sore right knee), while guard Jeff McInnis is questionable due to a sprained right ankle.
The Raptors wrapped up a three-game homestand with two wins on Friday as Chris Bosh posted 23 points and 12 rebounds to lift Toronto over the Indiana Pacers, 110-88.
Jorge Garbajosa notched 16 points and eight rebounds for the Raptors, who have won three of their last four games and seven of their past nine overall. Rasho Nesterovic had 14 points and eight rebounds, while Andrea Bargnani contributed 13 points.
Toronto acquired Juan Dixon from Portland in exchange for guard Fred Jones at the trade deadline, but the guard was unable to make his debut Friday because Jones had yet to pass his physical with the Trail Blazers.
Tonight is the first of three straight road games for the Raptors, who are 10-17 as the visitor this season. The club holds a 4 1/2-game edge over the Nets for first place in the Atlantic standings.
This is the second of three meetings so far this season between the clubs. The Raptors captured the first game on January 22, 105-84, behind 20 points from Bosh. Toronto is 6-2 all-time against the Bobcats.

LaDainian Tomlinson Favorite to be 2007 NFL MVP
With the first NFL preseason game less than two weeks away, it is time to start thinking about football once again at MySportsbook.com. Reigning NFL MVP LaDainian Tomlinson is currently the 5-1 co-favorite to win the award again alongside Super Bowl MVP Peyton Manning.
This shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone after his all out assault on the record books last season. For those suffering from amnesia or were under a rock last football season, all L.T. did last season was set the NFL record for rushing touchdowns (28), total touchdowns (31) and total points scored (186) to go along with his 1815 rushing yards and 508 receiving yards. At 6-1, Tom Brady is next in line which isn’t surprising considering all of the firepower the Pats added over the off-season. With the addition of Randy Moss, Donte Stallworth and Wes Welker; it would be quite difficult for Brady’s numbers not to improve from last years 3529 yards and 24 touchdowns. There appears to be some decent value in Drew Bees at 10-1 considering he probably would have won the award last year if it wasn’t for L.T.’s record breaking season.
There is no reason to think the Saints will come back to earth this season and playing in a weak NFC, they should have as good a shot as any to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl. At 15-1, Donovan McNabb could also be worth a look. Remember, many felt he was the MVP of the first half of the season before going down with a season ending injury. Reportedly, he is in great shape and well ahead of schedule to return to form. Also, he could have some added motivation to put up big numbers this season with the Eagles using their first pick in the draft on McNabb’s future successor Kevin Kolb.

March Madness odds and printable March Madness brackets
With the field of 64/65 set, MySportsbook.com has the Florida Gators as the 4-1 favorite to successfully defend their National Championship. Men’s Division-1 College Basketball has not seen a team repeat as National Champions since Duke won back to back championships in ’91 & ‘92. After losing three out of four late in the season, the Gators are full of momentum as they won their last four games by an average of 18 points. Not surprisingly, right behind the Gators are the other three top seeds: Kansas 5-1, UNC 6-1, and Ohio State 7-1. Many consider Kansas to be the hottest team in the country, having won 11 straight. With Kansas, it is hard to ignore all of the early exits from the “dance” in recent years. With an impressive ACC Tournament, UNC ensured themselves the other top seed. UNC has about as much talent as any other team in the tournament but with a team that’s best players are primarily freshman and sophomores, could youth be a concern. Behind freshman sensation, Greg Oden, OSU will look to do what their football team failed to do just a few months earlier. OSU seems to have peeked at the right time, as they currently have a 17 game winning streak. Since the tournament field was expanded in 1985, there has never been an instance where all four #1 seeds advanced to the Final Four. It is obvious that each of the top seeds have the talent to make it through to Atlanta. But as everyone knows, when makes the NCAA Tournament so special are all of the spoilers and “Cinderella” stories that knock off the favorites on a daily basis.
